Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest took place in New York this past weekend, and there was one quite familiar face in the crowd. The Oscar-nominated actor broke the internet after deciding to surprise his fans by showing up in disguise and revealing his face after the winner was announced.

The lookalike contest was organized by YouTuber Anthony Po, and it stirred quite a commotion at the Washington Square Park in New York. The event attracted so many attendees that it quickly spiraled out of control, and the NYPD had to move it to a nearby location, where the 21-year-old Miles Mitchell was eventually chosen as the winner.

This event became a true viral sensation, and not only because it attracted a huge number of Chalamet’s curly-haired doppelgängers. The Dune star himself decided to do the funniest thing ever and attend the competition in disguise, and videos of his big reveal quickly went viral on social media.

Chalamet didn’t want to draw a lot of attention to himself before the competition was over and showed up to the event wearing a mask and a baseball cap. He prompted quite a hysteria after taking the mask off, revealing the real Timothée Chalamet was hiding among his doppelgängers all along.
