We’ve seen several stars launch their own beverage brands in recent years, but none created more buzz than Tom Holland with Bero. The Spider-Man star announced his non-alcoholic beer brand that comes with a touching personal backstory, sparking an avalanche of positive comments on social media.

Holland has been very open about his struggle with alcoholism, and his new brand was inspired by his commitment to sobriety. Even though it’s originally been envisioned as a replacement for beer, the young actor is hoping that people will see it as much more than an alternative because it’s amazing in its own right.

“This beer isn’t just for those on a similar path, but for everyone who appreciates quality, craftsmanship, and living life to the fullest. BERO delivers the taste and experience of a great brew, and never asks you to settle for less,” said Holland in a statement.

Holland’s decision to launch a non-alcoholic beer ruffled some feathers, with some people saying there’s no point in drinking beer if it doesn’t contain alcohol, but fans were quick to jump to his defense. Many of them pointed out the fact that Bero was inspired by Holland’s struggle with alcoholism, adding it will be appreciated by many people who are on their own sobriety journey.
