Sometimes, the simplest things can capture our attention and make us strangely invested. This is certainly the case with the recent viral video in which a LEGO car crosses progressively narrower bridges.
The internet has been strangely captivated by this unexpectedly amusing piece of content created by YouTube’s Brick Experiment Channel. In the clip, a car made from LEGO bricks is facing a challenge to cross various bridges.
Each failed attempt leads to improvements in the LEGO car’s design that are needed for the specific challenge, like reducing the width, adding support wheels, and hanging weights. Each successful attempt results in a bigger challenge, as the bridge gets narrowed down until it turns into a string. Check out the video below to see whether it manages to cross them all.
YouTube users have been quite fascinated by the video. It received 4.5 million views in a couple of weeks and was branded as entertaining and satisfying.
“Never thought I’d be this emotionally invested in a little lego car crossing a gap, “one YouTube user commented.
“I love the format of figuring out a solution to a problem then figuring out how to worsen the problem, then repeat until all problem variants you’ve presented are solved. Satisfying, “another added.
