Vermont Artist Creates Unique Pyrography Art

Although Vermont-based artist Rebecca Davis originally manifested her creativity through illustrations, in 2017 she discovered pyrography. Davis immediately fell in love with this unique process of art-making and never looked back.

For those of you unfamiliar with pyrography, this is the art of decorating wood or other objects using burn marks. The burn marks are achieved using tools for controlled application of heat.

Through her pyrography artworks, Rebecca usually depicts landscapes and scenes from nature while also trying to replicate some of the local scenery from her native state of Vermont. Besides looking great, her works also have real-life applications as she makes wooden bowls, spoons, and other cutlery.

Check out some of her works below.
