Moscow based photographer Kristina Makeeva decided to take a trip to Siberia, Russia and visit Lake Baikal, world’s largest freshwater lake. During winter, Lake Baikal is frozen, but that only made Kristina’s trip more worthwhile.
This gave her a unique opportunity to take a walk on the lake and capture amazing photographs. What made the scenery even more stunning were the bubbles of methane and oxygen which got shackled by ice near the surface. Take a look at some of Kristina’s breathtaking photos below.
