Artist Illustrates Nomadic Life and It Makes Us Want to Join Her

Tanja B. Illus describes herself as a nomadic artist and is one of the creators of the BreakAwayTribe, a blog where she and her fiancé Lenny share posts and stories about their lives. Together, they travel the world in a 30-year-old van, which is their home and art studio.

“Vanlife has not only allowed me to explore new places, but it has made me realize the beauty of minimalist lifestyles,” the artist shared on Bored Panda. “Every day is a new adventure and I can have a new backyard with the turn of a key. This way of life has been an eternal source of inspiration and one of my favorite things to illustrate is these imaginative adventure vans.”

At the age of 12, Illus started playing with Photoshop and immediately fell in love with digital art. Since 2018, when their travels began, she has been creating art inspired by their adventurous life.
