Bode Burnout’s Art is Loud and Sarcastic

Can sarcasm be an art form? When we look at Bode Burnout’s work, we must admit that it can. Burnout shares sketches, freehand poetry, and illustrations on Instagram where she has a large audience of over 200k followers. When asked how she started doing it, she replied:

“It started as a way to rid myself of what was on my mind in a humorous way. I thought that if I could make someone else laugh and relate to what was happening to me, I might not feel so alone. It started during a pretty dark time of my life. Bode is a nickname my dad gave me as a child and Burnout whilst being part of my old myspace username, was the mental collapse I experienced constantly from anxiety that I couldn’t seem to get a hold of,” the artist told X Chrome Collective.
