British Engineer Creates Impressive Art By Walking In Snow All Day

If you happen to see a man walking in snow and making circles for hours during your trip to the mountain, don’t be alarmed. That is probably Simon Beck, a British engineer-turned artist, in the middle of creating his unique snow art.

For several years now, Beck has been making astonishing patterns in the snow using his feet. He walks on big plains, size of a soccer field, and leaves footprints that seem unconnected at first. But when you take a look from above, you realize that his every step is carefully planned to compose complex graphic designs that look breathtaking when finished.

Before stepping on the snow, Beck uses a computer to think of a proper design. He then uses a compass in order to determine a direction in which he will walk. This outdoor enthusiast, who travels around the world to create his art, can spend up to 12 hours making one pattern.

Check out some of Beck’s works below.
