Sturrus is a successful flight attendant, fashion brand owner, and content creator with over 200,000 followers on both TikTok and Instagram, but the start of her journey has been pretty rocky. After finishing the MBO course to become an aviation service provider at Albeda College, she found a full-time job as a flight attendant but had to put her dream on hold after the pandemic hit.
While waiting to put this period of her life behind, she poured her free time into starting her own brand Essie Fashion. She kept working on her small business even after the pandemic had passed and she became a full-time cabin crew member for KLM.
