Jolita Vaitkute is a 24-year-old artist who creates installations, performances, and illustrations by using food and other everyday objects. In her work, Vaitkute likes portraying subjects from pop culture and politics. According to her personal website, she is “reflecting the ever-changing modern world, most of her work is transient in nature, as it either gets eaten up or destroyed in the process.”

This time, the Lithuanian-based artist made a 3D food art piece portraying Ronaldo and Messi. Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania decided to welcome the Juventus and team Portugal striker in an unusual way. Ten of the top restaurants in the city reserved tables for the football legends.

“Ronaldo’s recently expressed wish to sit down with Lionel Messi for dinner was heard by the gastronomic community of Vilnius,” Remigijus Šimašius, the mayor of Vilnius told to the media. “There are plenty of reasons why Ronaldo and Messi should dine in our city. Restaurants in Vilnius have been building up their reputation internationally, leaving visitors blown away by the quality of local food and the originality of the chefs.”
