Molly Robbins used to be a make-up artist before she turned to making unbelievably realistic 3-D cakes people are afraid to eat.
Robbins can spend up to a week creating each of her masterpieces. She’s known to make realistic giraffes, elephants, and monkeys. Robbins travels the world teaching others how to bake similar cakes.
“I have made most types of animal cakes, the most popular seem to be replicas of peoples dogs, although they tend not to get eaten as people feel cruel eating them,” Story Trender quoted her.
The size and complexity of cakes vary a lot. If she makes a cake for a customer and wants it to be eaten, she does it faster so it remains fresh and delicious. Other cakes serve more like sculptures, so she focuses on the details rather than on taste.
