Geometric Fruit Paintings by David Anderson

David Anderson is not the first artist whose work is inspired by food, but his art is definitely unique. He paints geometric bananas, apples, eggs, and other sliced up foods in surreal, vintage-like scenes.

“These are foods I’ve been eating on a daily basis for several years, I’m not really sure how long,” he told It’s Nice That. He then realized that these things make the basis of his life and provide him with energy for creative work, so he wanted to pay homage.

Anderson graduated from Watkins College of Art in Nashville, Tennessee and received the Anny Gowa Purchase Award in 2016. His work has been exhibited in galleries across the world.

David’s definition of a “complete” piece of art is something that people have interacted with in several ways, “with their eyes, mind and their personal experiences or interpretations.” Scroll down to see his work.
