A good graphic designer can take a complex idea and dumb it down.
Jaime Hayde does just that, with his simple visual language, stripped from excessive detailing. “The original concept is easily seen in the end result,” he tells Ape on the Moon.
Based in Getxo, a coastal town near Bilbao, northern Spain, Hayde took to art at an early age. “Ever since I’ve had memories, drawing and exploring the imaginary world by means of paper and pencil have been my greatest passion,” he shares.
“After graduation, I worked as a graphic designer in branding. This experience steered me towards illustration which became my newly discovered love and obsession. Naturally, after this new found love grew bigger my only choice was to continue working as an illustrator for various companies.”
