Japanese Artist Depicts Beautiful Landscapes Of Her Homeland

Kaori Nasu is a Japanese illustrator who creates hand-drawn illustrations inspired by nostalgic scenery and the beautiful colors of her homeland. The artist graduated from the University of Arts and Fine Arts and now says that for her, art means “life itself”.

“I use acrylic gouache, white gesso, and oily colored pencils. It is a painting material that I have been used to since I was a student,” Kaorinasu shared in an interview for Ballpit. “It uses a lot of colors and beautiful coloring, a mixture of white gesso and paint. This is because oil-based colored pencils can be used to paint small parts on top of the paint.”

She has currently posted more than 300 artworks and hopes that one day her art is going to be used for ending your favorite TV programs and dramas.
