Many people would agree that one of the best things about traveling is exploring little streets that are not usually on tourist’s maps. Now you can have typical Japanese backstreets on your bookshelf, thanks to an artist that has the vision to make something unique and different.
Monde, a designer from Tokyo, uses various materials to create these whimsical bookends that would fit any bookshelf perfectly. The best thing about them is the light that you can turn on for the full effect. See below how they look on the shelf.
“Two years ago, I worked on the theme of ‘Tokyo decorating on the shelf. I thought that it would be interesting if I made a back side of the alley in the gap between bookshelves,” the artist says.
