Jollie Ollie’s Illustrations are Adorably Spooky

If you prefer spooky things over scary ones and believe there’s still some room for cuteness left on the dark side, Jollie Ollie’s illustrations will be your cup of tea. This is the alter ego of the talented illustrator Reannon Overbey, who enjoys spreading joy with her art, while also exploring spooky themes.

Overbey is an artist and illustrator based in Austin, Texas, and she single-handedly runs her small business from her home studio. None of these would’ve been possible without her corgi Ollie, and his cute and jollie personality was her main source of inspiration when she decided to start her own brand.

“Jollie Ollie was originally started in 2018 as my thesis project and was picked back up as a creative outlet in 2020. I like to focus on happy subjects when designing because I have a lot of anxiety, and it’s a nice way to focus on good things,” she writes on her official website.

Jollie Ollie’s illustrations walk the fine line between adorable and spooky. Ghosts and witches are some of the most common subjects she enjoys exploring, but that’s not stopping her drawings from looking incredibly cute. In addition to prints inspired by her illustrations, Jollie Ollie’s offering includes a wide range of apparel, ranging from bookmarks and Kindle sleeves to shirts and hair accessories.
