Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most iconic cars ever made. Known for its distinctive oval shape, the car started being manufactured in 1938 and enjoys massive popularity even today, with people constantly coming up with great ways to modify Beetle and give it a new life. The latest example of that comes from car customizer Brent Walter.
Walter recently shared a new project with his social media followers in which he converted original Volkswagen Beetle into awesome mini bikes.
He took fenders off “type 1” Beetle, blended them together and created a custom frame that includes the car’s unique head and tail-lights.
Walter then put in 79cc Volkswagen engine beneath the frame, while adding wide handlebars in order to achieve the retro-style look.
Walter built two minibikes, nicknaming his creation “Volkspod,” and painted them into characteristic Beetle colors blue and green.
