After seeing the works of Brazilian pencil artist Dalton Ghetti, Chien Chu Lee decided to try and create some pencil art of his own. This Taiwanese engineer started carving pencil tips into miniature sculptures and quickly realized he is really good at this.
Chu Lee quickly started sharing his works on Instagram and quickly gained a big following on social media thanks to the fact that his works are detailed and inspired by pop culture. So far he recreated numerous famous cartoon characters on pencil tips including Mickey Mouse and Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear as well as several iconic landmarks like Eiffel Tower and Great Wall of China.
“I find inspiration in the everyday objects around me.” – Chu Lee says. “I try to give my best every time because I never know if there is a next time. So I will push my limits to create something beyond your imagination.”
