These Miniature Paintings Fit the Tiniest Lockets

Using oil enamel and a tiny brush, Khara Ledonne paints tiny worlds that can fit into lockets. They are no bigger than a fingernail but the amount of detail in them is incredible.

“Miniatures were an experimental accident. I think it is a combination of both the idea – having something inspiring in a secret, personal place – and the attentive, skilled craft, that make these little things so magnetic,” Khara wrote on Etsy. She used to paint murals on buildings, so switching to miniatures was a big change.

Since she does everything by hand, there are no two same items. Each of her paintings is unique which only makes them even more special.
