Using wool and needle, artist Alyson Gurney creates miniature sculptures of pets. Dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, and even hedgehogs can all be found in her portfolio.
Better known as Little Felted Friends on Instagram, Gurney has a background in graphic design and printmaking and has always loved creating art. “When I discovered needle-felted mystical creatures on Instagram, I knew I had to try it; so, I started by creating my favorite subject: my dog. It grew from making my friends’ pets to selling them all over the world,” the told Bored Panda.
She added that she has never imagined that her business will grow so big. “I currently have a 3-month-long waiting list that continues to grow! I release a set number of slots every month and they sell out within 3 minutes. After all, our pets are our most cherished friends, and it’s such an honor to craft each one.”
