Scott Albrecht Creates Abstract Art Using Typographic Forms

Scott Albrecht is a graphic designer living in Brooklyn who creates all kinds of abstract art using typographic forms. Growing up, he looked up to parents who were an artist and a designer, so he was interested in art from an early age.

“When I was in high school, I started publishing a punk zine called the Uptown Beat,” Albrecht tells It’s Nice That. “It was before the internet blew up and I was living in a fairly rural area in New Jersey, which didn’t make it easy to get access to alternative or counter cultures. My main motivation when I started the zine was to create something to share all the bands I was listening to at the time that weren’t well known with my friends, but through publishing it, I started to develop an interest in graphic design.”

Scott relies on math to create precise formations of interweaving shapes that create a stunning effect when put together. Check out his work below!
