Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” is one of the biggest hits to come out this year, and Inés Pérez loves it as much as the rest of us. This Spanish illustrator drew the lyrics of this song in its entirety, imagining what it would look like if it was set in a fantasy land.
Inés Pérez is a talented illustrator from Madrid, Spain, who goes by @ine8s on social media. Her drawings are mostly inspired by popular culture, and we’ve seen her use them to pay homage to some of her favorite movies, TV shows, and artists, from Taylor Swift to Chappell Roan.
She illustrated several comics inspired by Swift’s songs, including “No Body No Crime” and “Betty”. She decided to give Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” a similar makeover, imagining the women from this song as two fantasy heroines who will never get their happily ever after.
“So much work and time went into it and I’ve looked at it for too long so it’s hard to appreciate it fully right now, but I’m actually so proud of it. Also, as a disclaimer: historical accuracy was not my goal this story takes place in a fantasy land lol,” she wrote on Instagram.
