Lauren Wodnicki is a home baker who is taking cake-making to a whole other level. The way this Connecticut-native does that is by baking tasty desserts and then decorating them to the tiniest details until they look jaw-dropping.

Wodnicki, who works out of her home bakery in Southington, Connecticut, first tested her skills at making complex cakes when she needed one for her wedding. She successfully baked a four-tier dessert and realized that is something she had a knack for.

That was eight years ago, and since then, Wodnicki has honed her skills to an admirable level and managed to develop her own style. Her decorations are based on fiber art and crochet motifs and involve intricate and highly elaborated patterns. She also uses warm color palettes and buttercream to set herself apart from other bakers.

Thanks to her unique cakes, Wodnicki served as an inspiration to many home bakers who wanted to mimic her style. She viewed this as a compliment and even decided to share some of her knowledge, tips, and tricks with others through online classes.

“My passion is two-fold: baking a delicious cake from scratch and using it as a canvas to create a one-of-a-kind buttercream design,” Wodnicki says on her website.

Even though the holiday season has been over for months, we still have room for dessert. Especially when it comes in the form of Tiffany Howard’s cakes.

The mastermind behind the successful food blog Oh Honey Bakes, Howard has gained online stardom thanks to her seasonal recipes of (mostly) gluten-free cakes. Because who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

“I transitioned to a gluten-free diet about a year ago, and while I still love over-the-top cakes, I want to create recipes for every day as well as for special occasions,” relayed Howard in an interview with le buzz.

Some of her recent recipes include dark chocolate pound cake with dark chocolate ganache and pumpkin cake with gingersnap toffee, cream cheese buttercream filling, and cinnamon Swiss merengue (is your mouth watering yet?).

Raised in Virginia, at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Howard is currently based outside of Seattle, where she works from her tiny farm.

“I fell in love with baking about ten years ago,” she shared in the interview. “I started baking insane cakes after I had my son, and friends started asking for the recipes.”

According to Howard, it was when the family moved to Seattle (and after some encouragement from a friend), that she started posting her cake recipes, sharing them with a larger audience. “I really had no expectations, it was just something fun for me to do,” she admits.

“I have made most types of animal cakes, the most popular seem to be replicas of peoples dogs, although they tend not to get eaten as people feel cruel eating them,” Story Trender quoted her.

The size and complexity of cakes vary a lot. If she makes a cake for a customer and wants it to be eaten, she does it faster so it remains fresh and delicious. Other cakes serve more like sculptures, so she focuses on the details rather than on taste.

How food tastes is probably the most important characteristic, but looks are definitely at least second in line! For all of us with a sweet tooth, the incoming pictures are very difficult to see.

Winter Fate is the artistic name of a girl from Southern California who has been baking since 2003. She loves making people smile with good desserts. She taught herself how to bake through watching cooking shows and in recent years she has had such great progress that she’s offering her baking services in Los Angeles. Winter Fate specializes in floral cakes, buttercream, and fresh flowers  – she puts a lot of love into every one of her projects.  

Her favorite desserts from her own menu are hummingbird cake, Mississippi mud pie, and mini fruit tarts. Hummingbird cake is a fruit cake with pineapple, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Mississippi mud pie tastes mainly tastes like chocolate as it’s a black-and-white cake with a lot of cocoa, milk, and butter. Finally, mini fruit tarts are those cute little sugar bites that we see in nice pastry shops.

This colorful collection of cakes embroidered with flowers and leaves is called Tapestry Cakes. Vigil told Better Homes &‌‌ Gardens that her inspiration for creating this kind of art comes from her love and fascination of nature.

“I have found so much peace walking in a botanical garden or growing my own cacti and succulents in my own garden. I try to take that feeling and transfer it over to my cake art. When I create botanicals out of buttercream, I always have the real ones in mind: how they grow, how they form, how perfectly imperfect they really are,” Vigil said.

She became interested in baking at a very young age and has mastered the art of pastry at the prestigious French cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu. Now she has her own business and inspires more than 146 thousand followers on her Instagram page.

We saw numerous times that pastry chefs tend to decorate their cakes and other baking goods with flowers and petals in order to make them more appealing to the eye. The tricky part here is that this only looks good and if you want to eat the cake, you have to remove all the extra pieces that are not usually edible. Well, this isn’t the issue with Atelier Soo’s flower-decorated cakes.

This Seoul-based chef is known for her awesome looking cakes that are covered with bouquets of roses and other flowers which turns them into true flowery pastry art. But the thing with Soo’s decorations is that they are entirely edible.

In order to decorate their cakes, Soo uses flowers and plants that are made out of ingredients like butter, sugar, and whipping cream. She is so good at her work that she is able to recreate blossoming flowers of all colors, shapes, and sizes that you can easily mistake them for the real deal. It is only when you bite into them that you realize they are in fact a creation of a pastry chef.

Everybody loves cakes, in all shapes and sizes. Cakes make you feel good, they taste good and even look delicious!

As we all know, if something looks good, it’s almost certain it tastes good but what happens when something looks so good that it makes you feel guilty just for the thought of eating it?

Meet Dinara Kasko. She’s a 28-year-old pastry chef from Ukraine, whose creativity takes pastry to a whole new level. She has worked as an architect, designer and 3D visualizer but she also loves baking. So, she decided to merge the two things she loves most – baking and architecture. The results are beyond awesome.

She models her own moulds and prints them with a 3D printer. There are no limits to her imagination but her most commonly used colors are black, red and white, while she also likes to experiment with plain geometric shapes like cubes, triangles and spheres. These unusual cakes are a huge hit and are definite proof that everything can work out no matter how strange it may sound. All we know for now is that cakes never looked so good and we’re hungry for more!

Land Rover 70th Anniversary cake. We were discussing the project and how we could get it realized for about a month. Then it took a week to create this project Stages: 1- we made a 3D model on the computer, 2- we prepared drawings for cutting chocolate cars out of chocolate plates, 3- I made plates of tempered chocolate (they were of different color), 4- we cut chocolate cars, 5- we put all the cars together, 6- I made the cake, 7- the last stage – photo shooting (we devoted a lot of time to it). Of course, the most important part is the cake itself. I was working on its recipe individually. I wanted to create a cake that would meet modern trends. It’s a cherry cheesecake with Sakura tea. The crunchy layer is made of caramelized pecans and dried cherries; almond sponge with lemon zest; berry confit ; berry cremeux; the last layer is cheese mousse. This cake doesn’t contain cream and is very low in fat and sugar. . Торт на юбилей компании Land Rover специально для журнала ONELIFE Land Rover @landrover. Мы обсуждали проект и его реализацию около месяца. Затем у меня была всего неделя на его реализацию, поэтому работали практически круглосуточно. Это вишневый чизкейк с чаем Сакуры. Хрустящий слой изготовлен из карамелизированных орехов пекан и сушенной вишни; миндальная бисквит с лимонной цедрой; ягодное конфи; ягодное кремю; последний слой – сырный мусс. The mastermind behind the successful food blog Oh Honey Bakes, Howard has gained online stardom thanks to her seasonal recipes of (mostly) gluten-free cakes. Because who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

“I transitioned to a gluten-free diet about a year ago, and while I still love over-the-top cakes, I want to create recipes for every day as well as for special occasions,” relayed Howard in an interview with le buzz.

Some of her recent recipes include dark chocolate pound cake with dark chocolate ganache and pumpkin cake with gingersnap toffee, cream cheese buttercream filling, and cinnamon Swiss merengue (is your mouth watering yet?).

Raised in Virginia, at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Howard is currently based outside of Seattle, where she works from her tiny farm.

“I fell in love with baking about ten years ago,” she shared in the interview. “I started baking insane cakes after I had my son, and friends started asking for the recipes.”

According to Howard, it was when the family moved to Seattle (and after some encouragement from a friend), that she started posting her cake recipes, sharing them with a larger audience. “I really had no expectations, it was just something fun for me to do,” she admits.

“I have made most types of animal cakes, the most popular seem to be replicas of peoples dogs, although they tend not to get eaten as people feel cruel eating them,” Story Trender quoted her.

The size and complexity of cakes vary a lot. If she makes a cake for a customer and wants it to be eaten, she does it faster so it remains fresh and delicious. Other cakes serve more like sculptures, so she focuses on the details rather than on taste.

How food tastes is probably the most important characteristic, but looks are definitely at least second in line! For all of us with a sweet tooth, the incoming pictures are very difficult to see.

Winter Fate is the artistic name of a girl from Southern California who has been baking since 2003. She loves making people smile with good desserts. She taught herself how to bake through watching cooking shows and in recent years she has had such great progress that she’s offering her baking services in Los Angeles. Winter Fate specializes in floral cakes, buttercream, and fresh flowers  – she puts a lot of love into every one of her projects.  

Her favorite desserts from her own menu are hummingbird cake, Mississippi mud pie, and mini fruit tarts. Hummingbird cake is a fruit cake with pineapple, coconut oil, and cinnamon. Mississippi mud pie tastes mainly tastes like chocolate as it’s a black-and-white cake with a lot of cocoa, milk, and butter. Finally, mini fruit tarts are those cute little sugar bites that we see in nice pastry shops.

This colorful collection of cakes embroidered with flowers and leaves is called Tapestry Cakes. Vigil told Better Homes &‌‌ Gardens that her inspiration for creating this kind of art comes from her love and fascination of nature.

“I have found so much peace walking in a botanical garden or growing my own cacti and succulents in my own garden. I try to take that feeling and transfer it over to my cake art. When I create botanicals out of buttercream, I always have the real ones in mind: how they grow, how they form, how perfectly imperfect they really are,” Vigil said.

She became interested in baking at a very young age and has mastered the art of pastry at the prestigious French cooking school, Le Cordon Bleu. Now she has her own business and inspires more than 146 thousand followers on her Instagram page.

We saw numerous times that pastry chefs tend to decorate their cakes and other baking goods with flowers and petals in order to make them more appealing to the eye. The tricky part here is that this only looks good and if you want to eat the cake, you have to remove all the extra pieces that are not usually edible. Well, this isn’t the issue with Atelier Soo’s flower-decorated cakes.

This Seoul-based chef is known for her awesome looking cakes that are covered with bouquets of roses and other flowers which turns them into true flowery pastry art. But the thing with Soo’s decorations is that they are entirely edible.

In order to decorate their cakes, Soo uses flowers and plants that are made out of ingredients like butter, sugar, and whipping cream. She is so good at her work that she is able to recreate blossoming flowers of all colors, shapes, and sizes that you can easily mistake them for the real deal. It is only when you bite into them that you realize they are in fact a creation of a pastry chef.

Everybody loves cakes, in all shapes and sizes. Cakes make you feel good, they taste good and even look delicious!

As we all know, if something looks good, it’s almost certain it tastes good but what happens when something looks so good that it makes you feel guilty just for the thought of eating it?

Meet Dinara Kasko. She’s a 28-year-old pastry chef from Ukraine, whose creativity takes pastry to a whole new level. She has worked as an architect, designer and 3D visualizer but she also loves baking. So, she decided to merge the two things she loves most – baking and architecture. The results are beyond awesome.

She models her own moulds and prints them with a 3D printer. There are no limits to her imagination but her most commonly used colors are black, red and white, while she also likes to experiment with plain geometric shapes like cubes, triangles and spheres. These unusual cakes are a huge hit and are definite proof that everything can work out no matter how strange it may sound. All we know for now is that cakes never looked so good and we’re hungry for more!

Land Rover 70th Anniversary cake. We were discussing the project and how we could get it realized for about a month. Then it took a week to create this project Stages: 1- we made a 3D model on the computer, 2- we prepared drawings for cutting chocolate cars out of chocolate plates, 3- I made plates of tempered chocolate (they were of different color), 4- we cut chocolate cars, 5- we put all the cars together, 6- I made the cake, 7- the last stage – photo shooting (we devoted a lot of time to it). Of course, the most important part is the cake itself. I was working on its recipe individually. I wanted to create a cake that would meet modern trends. It’s a cherry cheesecake with Sakura tea. The crunchy layer is made of caramelized pecans and dried cherries; almond sponge with lemon zest; berry confit ; berry cremeux; the last layer is cheese mousse. This cake doesn’t contain cream and is very low in fat and sugar. . Торт на юбилей компании Land Rover специально для журнала ONELIFE Land Rover @landrover. Это вишневый чизкейк с чаем Сакуры. Хрустящий слой изготовлен из карамелизированных орехов пекан и сушенной вишни; миндальная бисквит с лимонной цедрой; ягодное конфи; ягодное кремю; последний слой – сырный мусс.
