This Dad Created a T-Shirt to Inspire His Kid to Give Him a Massage

Ken Kawamoto is a senior engineer for Google, making everything from software to hardware. But his most important job is not being an engineer, but being a dad.

He came up with a great idea of combining playtime for kids with having a good back massage. At first look, the design is simple but it has a hidden agenda. It aims to make your little ones want to give you a back massage and enjoy themselves while doing so.

He opened up to Bored Panda about how he came up with this brilliant idea. “I often do work on my laptop while lying down on the floor. One time, in an act of boredom, my child started playing with his toy train on my back, which surprisingly felt very refreshing since my back was really strained. I then came up with this idea to get him to run the train along the particularly massage-needy parts of my back.”

Kawamoto’s son loves train toys, so he decided to design a t-shirt with a railroad on it. In order for his son to run the train smoothly, it marks special areas, as the right and left shoulders, and the lower Back.

“He [the son] seems to enjoy using me as rails (and the added sense of accomplishment from giving me a back massage). He’s always enjoyed using me as a toy,” Kawamoto added.
