This Illustrator Is Hungry for Colors

Illustrator and graphic designer, known by her moniker Yogatella, admits she’s hungry for colors. Judging by her Instagram page, this much is clear. Her digital illustrations have a vivacity to them that speaks volumes; her art seems to jump right off the screen.

Talking about her overall aesthetic with Ballpitmag, Yogatella stressed that colors are key to her work. “They are my everything and I use them in abundance,” she said. After colors come textures. “I need them a lot to communicate the nature of the art itself,” she explained. “I am waiting for the day when people will be able to enter an illustration and feel the painted texture just by starring at the art. I also am drawn to patterns, weird characters but also enjoy creating functional illustrations.”

But though colors, textures, and patterns all play part in her artwork, so does narrative and storytelling. “I love to look at a piece of art and be able to create stories out of it,” says Yogatella. “For me, the work of an artist is just the seed that would evolve into a thousand other trees. The artist plants an idea, a concept or a feeling and the world can multiply it in million various ways. Before I start any sketching, I give it a lot of time to the story behind my art.”

Inspired by people, food, and nature, her illustrations are a happy (and of course – colorful) mixture. Take a look for yourself!

Day 45: water yourself with knowledge!—-for those who watched the live drawing of this illustration a big Thank You! For those who were caught in the swirl of the day, could not watch, and you are dying to hear my beautiful, wonderful voice, see my live story. HOWEVER, today I illustrated pew pew @pyuric a sensation in the world of business, books and marketing. She embodies to me the concept of eternal progress, constantly evolving and learning something new. Water yourself with knowledge everyday and you won’t have time to measure the distance to your goal. I met Pyuric in Barcelona, one year ago, and had no idea what lies within her small, slender frame: an enormous cognitive processor (over 8.80 GHz). I was struck by how easy going, humble and positive she can be (moreover compared to how far did she get… maybe she just stayed true to herself). Cristina aka Pyuric is the co owner of @theceolibrary a platform where the most successful people share the source of knowledge (the books) they read or are influenced by. They also have interviews with them but I let you discover this amazing platform yourself which is also a time of zero procrastination. Let this post be the last one you like today..grab a book and read (just come back tomorrow to discover the next person I will draw) 😂 #illustration #books #booklovers #read #reading #yogatella100friends #girl #smart #romaniangirl #library #bücher #lesen #carte #romania #drawing #illustrator #digital_art
