This Origami Kayak Can Fit into a Suitcase

If you enjoy the outdoors, then you probably enjoy the feeling of hopping into a kayak and sailing down a river or across a lake. But while they provide tons of fun, kayaks are also a bit of a hassle to carry around, and getting to the preferred location can be tiresome. Oru Kayak, however, found a solution to this problem.

This innovative company recently presented a kayak that is entirely foldable but has similar durability and performance of a regular kayak. Titled Inlet, this origami kayak can be folded into a size of a suitcase and easily transported to your preferred destination. Once there, you just unfold it using simple instructions, and you are ready to go. According to the company, the entire process lasts five minutes.

While Oru Kayak presented foldable kayaks in the past, Inlet is their most advanced model so far. It weighs only 20lbs and can be taken on an airplane. It is built for any type of flat water and can also be modified to the user’s preferences.

Inlet kayak is currently available for pre-order through Kickstarter, and the first units are expected to ship out in May 2020. Until then, find out more about this awesome piece of equipment below.
