Walk a Mile In Frida Kahlo’s Sneakers

The Vans brand is known for collaborating with other brands and artists to create collections that celebrate art and culture. A few years ago they released an amazing collection, which was a collaborative effort with the Van Gogh Museum. Fans of the Dutch painter have had the wonderful opportunity to take a walk in Vans’ sneakers inspired by Van Gogh’s most famous works.

And with the initial collection being such a huge success, this year Vans decided to launch another art-inspired collection. This time it’s all about the Mexican legend, Frida Kahlo, best known for her self-portraits and nature-inspired works.

Three of the main models got a new version – the OG Sk8-Hi LX has a self-portrait by Two Fridas (1939), The OG Authentic LX has a watermelon print from “Live Your Life” (Viva la Vida – 1954), and the OG Slip-On LX has a self-portrait with “Thorny Necklace and Hummingbird”.

Vans made sure to do justice with the celebrated artist. The sneakers are (almost) as unique as Frida Kahlo was and wearing them will add to your overall artistic appeal. Or so we hope!
