In 2012, one family from California discovered an injured owl on their front porch. They took the owl to the veterinarian, who told them that the Western Screech Owl they have found is almost completely blind with just 10 percent of its vision.

Knowing that the owl couldn’t survive in the wilderness, a team of animal lovers found her a new home at Wildlife Learning Center, deciding to take care of her. The owl got the name Zeus, after the Greek god of sky and thunder, due to its eyes filled with white flecks that remind of a sky full of stars. Meet Zeus below and get overloaded with cuteness.
