Tom Booth has many descriptions to his name; he is an illustrator, author and, art director best known for his remarkable talent. He’s also the creator of three children’s books called Day at the Beach, This is Christmas, and Don’t Blink!

In his latest project, the gifted artist made a series of heartbreaking illustrations of a grieving woodworker who can’t let go of someone he loves deeply. He keeps carving a woman figure in wood to keep her memory alive. According to Booth, he sought inspiration from his personal life.

“This is a personal project with a large story that I intend to publish,” the artist told Bored Panda. “I still do not want to say in what format it will be published and also do not want to reveal the full story, so I will just say it is a story about loss.”

His artistic journey began in his early years, when he was just 5 or 6, watching and learning from his big brother. He documents his work on Instagram where his illustrations regularly get tens of thousands of likes from his 275k followers.
