Artist Paints the Japanese Suburbs on Spheres

If you like unique and extraordinary art, then you’ll appreciate the recent series of acrylic painting made by Japanese artist and painter Daisuke Samejima. Titled Flatball, the series sees Samejima painting scenes from Japanese suburbs on spheres.

Samejima’s works are highly detailed and inspired by his surroundings. Every time he wants to make a new piece, he takes a walk around his neighborhood in order to find the fitting scene he then transfers on a spherical canvas. This allows the viewer to interact with the painting and also see the art from multiple angles.
