Artist Shares Hilarious, Wholsome Comic Threads

William Leitzman is a USA-born, South Korea-based artist who has been drawing comics since October 2013. He always wanted to become a cartoonist and artist like Bill Watterson who had inspired him to make art that was creative and meaningful.

“A lot of people ask me how I come up with my ideas,” Leitzman shared on Bored Panda. “Sometimes, I get inspiration from my life experience or conversations with friends. Other times I have a sudden thought that I write down to use later. Typically, I just start drawing, and an idea naturally comes to me.”

Although Leitzman gets his inspiration from other gifted artists, he still tries to make only original comics and use his own style.

“My process is to take out my drawing tablet, sit down, and start drawing,” he adds. “I know it doesn’t sound very exciting, but routine works for me. I wish for my comics to connect to others in a way that makes them realize that we all feel much of the same ups and downs in life. In this way, we are all human.”
