Ellen DeGeneres recently helped another story get a happy ending by reuniting two long-lost childhood friends after 12 years.
Back in late November, Virginia-based teen Brianna Cry decided to ask the Twitter community for help. She explained that she met a young girl in 2006 during a family vacation and that they became instant best friends for the night. After 12 years, Brianna found a photo of them at her grandmother’s house and wanted to reconnect, so she hoped Twitter would help her in this quest.

Only 11 hours later, Twitter responded and found that the girl from the photo is 18-year-old California-based Heidi Tran.
After DeGeneres heard about this story, she decided to get both girls on the show and organize a face-to-face reunion. She also surprised both girls giving each of them $10,000 to help their education.
