Famous American cartoonist Gary Larson, born in 1950, officially retired back in 1995 after drawing comics for 15 years. Now, for the first time in 25 years, his website will be updated and it will contain both the historic collections and new cartoons.

Larson’s art was very well known between 1980-1995, and we’re sure he’d be the world’s most popular artist if we had social media back then. The Far Side was an iconic comic panel that was loved by so many people. And now it’s finally becoming available online.

Larson shared a letter on his new website explaining why he has been offline for so long. He wrote that, just before he retired, “the Internet was a cute little Internet-ling, its cold, digital eyes just starting to open.” He’s now sure that the security and graphics are developed enough to enable him online presence without compromise, and fans couldn’t be happier about it. And now we’re waiting for him to open his Instagram account!
