If the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us anything, is the importance of cherishing the here and now, and understanding better what it is we stand to lose if we fail to take care of ourselves, and more importantly – our planet.
But, philosophical meanderings aside, boy we could all use a vacation. And while traveling might not be permitted and isn’t encouraged in any case, we’re looking forward to falling in love with the world around us. Here to show us the ropes is travel master, Georgia (Gigi) Hopkins of It’s Beautiful Here. After quitting her six-figure job in investment banking in Sydney, Hopkins did what most of us can only dream of and went on an ever-lasting adventure around the globe.
Through her online platform and travel journal, she shares what she’s learned along the way, offering a glimpse into her travels of the past 7 years since quitting corporate life in Australia for a life on the road. “I am a travel curator,” she further explained in an interview with Vogue. “I create travel content and experiences for global brands and likeminded folk. I travel the world searching for unique, interesting and beautiful places and experiences to share.”
“Life is a constant adventure,” says Hopkins, “I love the freedom travel brings and the people I am fortunate enough to meet along the way. I love the random nature of it all. I feel forever in a state of awe and inspiration over the amazing things so many people out there are doing. I feel lucky to be living out my greatest passion.”
