Fabio La Fauci is a German-based artist with a unique style of painting. The artist recent series titled “is it you?” which has portraits of faceless women with a twist.
Fauci was born in Italy but resides in Berlin. His art pieces are mesmerizing because he uses really thick layers of acrylic and ceramic modeling paste. He blends abstraction and surrealism as well as ambiguity, and transformation.
The series is meant to pass a message of self-love and approval to women in a world which is saturated with unreachable standards of beauty.
Each painting is a little different, the subject of each one if posing in a different position, which mirrors the never-ending search for perfection. All the faces of his paintings are blurred out.
