Kids Try 100 Years of School Lunches

The YouTube channel of popular food magazine Bon Appétit recently presented a new episode of their ‘Kids Try’ serial, in which they have present kids with foods from different periods in history or different cultures and show their reactions.

This time, they had an opportunity to taste the way school lunches evolved in the last 100 years.

As expected, the kids were not big fans of school lunch from the 1910s which involved pea soup and rice or the one with boiled beef and creamed spinach from 1930s. On the other hand, 1960s version of school lunch with eggs, orange juice, and bananas got a much more positive reaction as well as 1980s meal which was the favorite because it involved pizza, chicken nuggets, and Capri Sun.
