Life’s a Beach With Angela Mckay’s Illustrations

Summer’s just around the corner, and we couldn’t be more ready. But in the meantime, we’re taking inspiration from Angela Mckay’s joyous illustrations, that portray the carefree time spent chilling at the beach.

Her creations are made using gouache and watercolor. All pieces are drawn and painted by hand before being digitally printed. Originally hailing from the bright shores of Australia and the humid tropics of Thailand, Mckay now works in Ohkii Studio, based in Brooklyn, New York.

And coming from a rich and colorful background, she takes her inspiration from many places including the natural world, overseas travel adventures, folk tales, and old murder mystery novels.
