Marine de Quénetain’s Beauty Illustrations Are Pure Delight

Illustrator and art director Marine de Quénetain covers a wide range of styles and disciplines, from illustration to pattern design, posters and book covers. Known for her playful approach, her main focus is the beauty and fashion industry.

Born and raised in Paris, de Quénetain was very much inspired by her mother, who worked as a fashion designer. “I always saw her drawing fashion figures in her studio, listening to music,” she recalled in an interview with Global Blue. “I thought it was a very cool way to work and I planned to do the same at a very young age.”

It didn’t take her much time. Having graduated from ESAG Penninghen, Académie Julian in Paris in 2009 with a masters degree in
Art Direction and Graphic Design, she co-founded a graphic design studio by the age of 22. Her work has caught the attention of brands and designers alike, and de Quénetain has since collaborated with brands like Chanel, Hermes, Goop, Louboutin, and Estée Lauder, to name a few.

Inspiration comes to her fairly easily, while traveling in cities like London, Paris, New York, Helsinki, and Copenhagen. Here are some of her original takes on the fashion and beauty industry:
