Ruby Taylor’s Illustrations Are a Midsummer Dream

Winter has only just begun and we’re already dreaming of summer. As a feeling of drowsiness threatens to engulf us completely, Ruby Taylor’s vibrant illustrations bring us back to life.

Based in the UK, Taylor’s illustrations very much revolve around color. Reds, yellows, and greens pop up quite a bit with the result being a summery color palette. Her chosen topics seem to follow suit and themes like vacation, tropical fruit, and light alcoholic beverages seem to dominate her portfolio.

According to Taylor, her inspiration comes from the world around her, but she is especially drawn to old printed ephemera, vintage illustrations, and hand-painted signage. Since graduating in 2012 with a degree in Illustration from Bristol UWE, she’s worked with notable clients such as Penguin Random House, Harper Collins, Tory Burch, and Adidas.
