Sarah Walsh is an illustrator from Kansas City who draws these adorable flowers, animals, and people in her own unique style.

“I typically use a mix of gouache, cut paper, pencil, ink, watercolor, and colored pencil depending on my mood and what I want to draw. Exploring different mediums is so much fun to me. I like to try new techniques, play, make random connections and get a little lost when I’m creating,” Sarah says.

My hubs @colinwalshillustrations spotted a little goldfinch in our yard yesterday and I wanted to draw that little bird so bad. I haven’t had that feeling of “wanting” to draw something for myself in a long time. To feel that obsession and jolt of creativity for non-client projects. It was awesome. A time lapse today! I was in a folky mood this morning. Folk art has inspired my for a long time. When I went to the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico a long time ago with some friends and my daughter a whole world opened up for me. Pissed off wild folk boar 🐗 I actually had a great day but felt fierce. A wild boar was feelin’ right. Ran a bunch of errands and got a bunch of stuff done ✅ I procrastinate with errands because I don’t like them…but it felt great to cross things off the list. Almost didn’t fit this in but I’m glad I did! Is it symmetrical? Nahhhh. But that’s cool. Wonky’s my jam. This 100 day thing…I really want to be committed to doing it everyday because I feel like that’s the whole point right? Taking time out daily for yourself.
