Scribbly G is a pseudonym for 32-year-old South African artist who creates funny comics.
His artistic journey began just about a year-and-a-half ago when he found his evenings not as occupied as before. “Late start, I know, but my girlfriend started studying again in the evenings and I needed a hobby to cure the boredom,” artist shared on Bored Panda. “I describe my comics as very badly drawn and super random. I’m still learning to draw. I think I have the funniness down, but still, need a lot more drawing practice before I see myself at least as an OK cartoonist.”
When working on his pieces, the most important thing for Scribbly G is to make himself laugh.
“If I find it funny, I’m pretty sure at least one other person will laugh, and that’s a win,” artist added. “I then try to make it not look like the worst comic in the world, nobody wants to be the worst cartoonist, 2nd-worst is fine. When it looks passable as a comic and makes me laugh, I post it.”
