Have you ever heard of Fire Art? It means that the artist creates pieces of art with the use of fire.
The image and videos below were made by a Fumage artist, Stephen Spazuk. The French-Canadian artist had been a conventional painter until he chose to create a niche for himself and now he paints in a different way. He came up with a technique of painting called Fumage and it works by using soot from flames as paintings for his artworks. His technique will blow you away.
According to Spazuk, he uses the soot in his artworks to talk about life’s fragility. The French-Canadian artist makes use of a technique referred to as Fumage technique.
He uses candle or torch to make trails of soot on the drawing surface, which is usually a paper, as seen from the videos.
