Surreal Miniature Sculptures That Will Blow Your Mind

Valentina Gaia Manzo is a 28-year-old miniaturist, and she lives in Cagliari, Italy. She creates miniature food items in fimo clay. This talented artist makes miniatures out of anything, but she mainly creates accessories and miniature food. Her work is unique because she creates every single detail by herself, from the plywood to the painting as well as the construction of the cutlery and cups.

Manzo recreates different scenarios in a miniature form. She believes that small moments can be preserved with miniature sculptures. Her passion for this hobby became a real job, and the Italy based artist hopes to create more sculptures in the future.

She does use any special tools to carve the clay while making the miniatures. She uses needles, toothpicks, chisels as well as resin. This is because they are versatile and can be used in many ways.

Antique-style teapot and cup set hand-molded, without the use of molds, carved with the gravers in several steps and finished with sandpaper. Painted completely by hand with 0/20 brush using a mixed technique. 1/12 scale. Always obsessed with detail, in the continuous search for perfection, trying to overcome my limits. The limits are those mental blocks that make you think you do not get anywhere, you can not succeed. 🎂🍒Two important differences in the processing of these cakes, it is the cherries, the caramelized ones I get with the fimo translucent while those with natural effect require more time because of the realistic finishing given by the acrylic painting. In short, a hard work, but as a result I like more cherries "fresh" with the green petiole. To you ? Which do you prefer? Due differenze importanti nella lavorazione di queste torte, si tratta delle ciliegie, quelle caramellate le ottengo con il fimo translucent mentre quelle ad effetto naturale richiedono più tempo per via della rifinitura realistica data dalla pittura acrilica. Insomma un lavoraccio, ma come risultato a me piacciono di più le ciliegie “fresche” con il picciolo verde. A voi ?
