These Graphic Illustrations Are Simply Brilliant

A good graphic designer knows that the best ideas are sometimes the simplest. Meet Adam Goldberg. The creative director of TRÜF studio started a side project where he illustrates animals and insects using simple geometric shapes and a limited color palette.

But his creativity clearly paid off, and now his studio sells his printed artwork. “Just because you’re a branding studio doesn’t mean you have to be stuck in a box doing only one thing,” said the designer in an interview with Adobe Create Magazine.

The simplicity, geometry, and composure that we try to achieve with our branding work rub off on the artwork,” he added. “I think more in terms of composition and balance more now than I ever have — and that’s because of the branding work.”

“We’ve taken our love of geometry, pattern, white space, Bauhaus, Miró, and a little too much caffeine and mashed it all into a style we call Messy Modernism – ‘messymod’ for short,” explains TRÜF’s website. “It’s minimal, modern, graphic, quirky, stylized, grotesque, delightful, and just plain weird.”
