This Artist is Bringing Food To Life With Her Funny Creations

Charlotte Love is a freelance stylist from London, who is using her artistic talent to bring food to life in her pastel-colored creations.

Love has a degree in visual communication and illustration from Bournemouth Arts Institute and she’s been a freelance artist for the past 11 years. In her free time she likes to create all sorts of funny characters using food like bananas, watermelon, croissants, cookies, and many others.

“I like to use humor and color; the end result is usually simple yet bold. I create all my images for fun, and for myself”, the artist said about her work.

Love is using modeling clay to sculpt these unique characters and then she adds pre-made eyes and mouths to their faces. Most of her creations have a big smile that will certainly brighten up your day. However, some of them are also angry, sad, bored, or just smoking cigarettes. That being said, it seems like Love’s characters are expressing emotions that we can easily relate to, even though they’re made of food.

Check out her pastel creations in the photos below.
