This Lovely Comics Focuses On Life With Anxiety

Holly Chisholm is an author, illustrator and the creator of her webcomics called Just Peachy Comics. Her work is based on her struggles living with depression, anxiety, and some silly animals.

In December 2016, Chisholm was diagnosed with depression and ADHD. To feel better, her therapist suggested her to try journaling, but instead, she started drawing.

“I have been drawing since I was a child, but had fallen out of the habit,” artist shared on her personal website. “This comic was my compromise between drawing and journaling; it helped me record how I was feeling at the time and work through some of the darkness. At first, it was scary to put my deepest thoughts and fears out in the open, but the responses and messages of support from people made me realize how much it was needed to talk about mental health.”

After making Just Peachy for six months, Chisholm decided to quit her job and start her freelance career, so that she can dedicate more time to making and promoting her webcomics.

The artist shares her work on her Instagram profile where she has gathered over 64.2 thousand followers.
