Meet Marvis, the cool-looking, giant Asian praying mantis who is living her best life.
Before she became Marvis’ owner, or we should say mom, Samantha Steatoda had arachnophobia. To conquer her fears, she joined several facebook groups dedicated to spiders and bugs. Soon, her home got richer with tarantulas, jumping spiders, a praying mantis.
To make it more fun, Steatoda sets up fancy sofas, tables, chairs, fireplaces, benches, lounging chairs, bathtubs for Mavis to enjoy it, while she takes adorable images. But Mavis’ true home is much simpler.
“She has a decorative birdcage that I personally set up with plastic on the bottom and screen at the top,” Mavis’ mom told Bored Panda. “The furniture is props for pictures. I wish she lived that fancy. Someday, I hope to find a dollhouse that would be easy to turn into an enclosure.”
