Mother’s Day is approaching fast and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel decided to honor this special day by bringing in a number of celebrities and have them read real text messages from their moms. As you can imagine, this turned out into comedy gold.
The clip, which was uploaded on Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube channel, features Katy Perry, David Harbour, Billie Eilish, Jimmy O. Yang, Josh Groban, P!nk, Rob Delaney and number of other stars sharing quirky, strange, loving, and funny texts they got from their moms. As it turns out, no matter whether you are a celebrity or a just regular human being, you’re bound to get relationship advice from your mom or be asked to get her something.
For example, Perry read a lengthy message from her mother which contains helpful advice on how to live with your partner.
“Feather, teamwork when you are cohabbing makes the dream work,” – the message read. “You know dad and mom love you and want the best for you But in any relationship a man has to take the lead Even if you only let him think he is the man is the head but the woman is the neck that turns the head you just have to do it where he doesn’t think you’re doing it kind of like turning a sail on a sailboat in the wind subtle but it’ll start to glide you two should rent a sailboat together and see how it feels I would do that with you anytime.”
P!nk, on the other hand, shared a hilarious message from her “stoner mom:”
“So I survived my first dose. Should I take it twice daily? How long before I should see results or need to increase dose? Bring vape dose to Florida. From your stoner mom.”
