Everybody loves food – it’s literally keeping us alive! Burgers, cakes, pancakes, chocolate, fries, it’s so tasty and beautiful and makes your heart and stomach sing. But here’s something different, something that only bravest among us would try. Here are some of the weirdest street foods in the world.
Tuna eyeballs
This looks… well… it looked at me! Tuna eyeballs can be found in Japan and it’s really hard to avoid them. They’re rich in omega 3, so if you don’t judge a book by its covers, go ahead, give them a try and your brain will be thankful.
Mopane worms
Oh how the tables has turned, now we are eating worms! Or at least, they are in Zimbabwe. Here the locals are carrying these brightly colored creatures, freshly collected from the trees. They’re first cleaned and then fried, resulting in a weird but delicious snack. If you want to try these, well, you know where to go!
Isaw
If you’re a big fan of barbecues, you might want to try this – or maybe not. This meal is made from pork and chicken intestines, cleaned multiple times in chemicals and then grilled on skewers. Isaw are one of the many specialty dishes from the Philippines.
