Nature has always been a huge part of Bridget Beth Collins’s life, and she came up with a pretty creative way to honor it. She creates the most amazing botanical art under the moniker Flora Forager, and there’s pretty much nothing she can’t do with flowers and petals.
Collins describes herself as a petal painter, light seeker, and flower nymph, who’s making magic happen from her home near Seattle. She enjoys exploring the wildflower woodlands around her home and finding tiny treasures she can later use in her art.
“I forage flowers from my creations from foliage and flowers plucked from our sidewalks, meadows, and woods in our neighborhood. I also have plenty of “paints” from my small garden in the city, and my mother’s big rambling secret garden filled with old English roses in the sea town of Edmonds,” she wrote on her official website.
Collins found viral fame with her signature “petal paintings” that see her arranging flowers, petals, and other botanical materials to craft elaborate scenes. It can take her anywhere between 30 minutes and a few hours to finish them up, but the process of imagining each piece is much longer because she has to come up with an idea before she can go out in nature and collect flowers.
